Terms of use

Last updated: 2026-10-31

1. The service

1.1 CarDigits presents statistics on new passenger car registrations in Europe, with market shares by brand and country and historical trends.

1.2 The service is free and provided as available. We may change, limit or close it at any time.

1.3 CarDigits is not an official statistics service or a public authority service. It is not affiliated with any car manufacturer or with the European Environment Agency.

2. The figures

2.1 The figures are based on data from the European Environment Agency and can contain errors or gaps.

2.2 We do not guarantee that the information is complete, correct or up to date at all times.

2.3 Provisional years can change, and the source can revise its data. The figures here can therefore differ from the current figures at the source.

2.4 Registrations measure new vehicles entering the fleet, not sales. The figures can differ from national and industry statistics.

2.5 The figures are general information, not financial, legal or purchasing advice. Do not rely on them alone for important decisions.

3. Using the service

3.1 You agree not to use CarDigits in a way that can harm, overload or disrupt the service.

4. Source, licence and trademarks

4.1 The registration data is published by the European Environment Agency under CC BY 4.0.

4.2 Brand and model names belong to their owners.

5. Limitation of liability

5.1 To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for damage, loss or inconvenience arising from your use of CarDigits, including:

  • Incorrect, incomplete or outdated information.
  • Delayed updates, technical faults or interruptions.
  • Decisions based on information from the service.

5.2 You alone are responsible for decisions you make based on information from CarDigits.

6. Third-party links

6.1 CarDigits links to websites run by others. We are not responsible for their content or for damage that can arise from visiting them.

7. Changes to these terms

7.1 We may update these terms at any time. The updated version is published here with the date of the latest change.

7.2 If you continue to use CarDigits after a change, you accept the updated terms.
