Registration data from the European Environment Agency. Registrations measure new vehicles entering the fleet, not sales.
What do the figures measure?
The dataset monitors CO₂ emissions and records each new passenger car registered in the EU, Norway and Iceland. It is not a sales statistic. Brand and model names are reported by member states and have been cleaned, so a small share may be grouped imperfectly.
Can the figures change?
Provisional years can change, and the source can revise its data. The figures here can therefore differ from the current figures at the source.
